elemental dragons
me and rouken got into a chat about them. it was about if they will be hited or not in september. i say no because there effects can be used only once per turn and have to ban 2 monsters each turn.they are flexible ad everything. he said no because of reasons idk so what do you think and why

Re: elemental dragons
It doesn't matter that they can only be used once per turn. They are still extremely broken. There aren't many cards that can counter them (besides the obvious Macro or SS block), and they can run over just about every card.
I believe they will get hit. Probably each of them at 2 first. It would definitely make the engine a lot easier to counter.

Re: elemental dragons
I think the dragons are fine. I think it's the XYZ Mosters they mostly use that should be limited. For example, only one of each of
Number 11: Big Eye
and
Mecha Phantom Beast Dragossack
Could slow the deck down a lil

Re: elemental dragons
see it is just the fact that they have the easy rank 7 that make most people hate them not the effect

Re: elemental dragons
The Xyz aren't the problem There are tons of other monsters that can get out things like Big Eye and Dragossack. Even stating that those cards are at fault is a very ignorant way of saying that Elemental Dragons are useless by themselves. Look at their stats. They can wall, beatstick, anything.

Re: elemental dragons
BLS is a dead draw if you don't have targets for it. Same goes for Dark Armed Dragon or even Wulf (The Lightsworn), yet those cards don't get beef.
The purpose of Elemental Dragons is for them to be used in bulk. All of the good decks have 3 each of the big ones and more often than not 2 each of the little guys. This is an extremely consistent setup due to the fact that they can each play off of each other.
That is already 20 monsters. People also like using REDMD and other monsters to improve their chances of getting useful cards. They also benefit from draw power-generating cards such as Seven Star Sword (Or w/e it is) and can even relax due to the fact that they can hardly be hurt by anti-meta cards such as Skill Drain and can very easily get around Macro.

Re: elemental dragons
ok you got a point but still banning because they are not able to stop by normal ways you can use bottomless trap hole and it can stop it in a way in a way

Re: elemental dragons
Bottomless achieves nearly nothing due to the fact that they can just pull another Incarnate to use. Thinking about it more, Necrovalley could be a decent defense against them, but it is again a card that they can work around.

Re: elemental dragons

Re: elemental dragons
There is the kicker: You have to know how they work and how to make them work.
They get banished, then you pull the smaller dragon and use THAT effect to get the bigger one back out. Cards like Burial from a Different Dimension are extremely helpful with them. Or maybe even Return from the Different Dimension.

they can only use only one effect per turn so if you use bottemless trap hole it will stop deck that use them alot in my opinion

Re: elemental dragons
Should they be hit: yes.
Will they get hit in september? Probably not.
Konami makes it a habbit not to limit or ban anything from a new deck the first banlist. Some cards are different because of looping (look at gustkrake, that loop was horrific).
What do the dragons do in my eyes:
Used seperatly to support other decks (mostly tier 3 or below): Nice that those decks get soem support.
Used all together in the devastating Rank 7 Build: OMG, Kill it before it multiplies !!!!
What is the best way to limit it in my eyes:
Number 11: Big Eye to 1. Thats basically it. Everything else shouldn't be the biggest problem.
